Camp Network is a decentralized platform aimed at advancing IP and AI, today launched an event inviting traditional Web2 and AI creators to co-create with Mint, which is one of Japan's largest IP creation companies, with sticker downloads exceeding 5 billion times on platforms like LINE and WeChat.
The current IP licensing environment fails to meet creators' needs. Most licensing transactions are either dependent on traditional contracts managed by agents or lack formal structures entirely, especially for new creators. This process is typically highly manual, involving sales personnel, lawyers, and account managers, making the process costly and complex, rendering smaller deals commercially unfeasible and ultimately unimplemented. If a deal is reached, the completion process usually takes 12 to 24 months or more. Camp Network redefines the Web2 licensing process by simplifying compliance and monetization frameworks on-chain, thereby achieving significant efficiency improvements in time, resources, and costs.
This global event invites traditional Web2 and AI creators to co-create and remix one of Mint's top IPs, "Mimi and the Cat". Winning IP submissions will have opportunities for monetization across multiple digital and e-commerce channels.
"We are excited to announce our collaboration with Camp Network and REMASTER to redefine the future of IP co-creation," said Yaz Hori, Global Licensing Head at Mint. "Mint's beloved characters continue to attract a rapidly growing global audience, with GIF impressions over 60 billion and sticker downloads exceeding 5 billion. This groundbreaking collaboration allows our fans not only to participate in character design but also in monetization opportunities—transforming them from consumers to true creative partners."
Camp Network's collaboration with Mint ensures that the event's winners, the "Camp Creative Community", will be included in the royalty income of all deals reached in this collaboration, demonstrating the transparent, fair, and creator-centric principles of blockchain-based IP licensing.
"We are establishing a scalable blueprint for how IP holders can leverage blockchain infrastructure to streamline their IP licensing and monetization," said James Chi, Co-founder of Camp Network. "We are thrilled to collaborate with Mint and REMASTER to unlock new economic opportunities for creators and set new standards for global IP licensing."
The event also integrates the REMASTER platform, a smart contract-based IP licensing engine. Through REMASTER, creators can seamlessly manage, license, and monetize their submissions, with all royalty and ownership terms transparently processed on-chain. Creators participating in the Mint event will use REMASTER to access official IP toolkits, sign licensing agreements, upload remixed artworks, and track royalties, ensuring a smooth licensing workflow.
Building on Camp Network's recently launched Origin and mAItrix frameworks, this event lays the groundwork for future expansion in IP and AI domains, with plans to add additional channels like physical goods and clothing after initial digital distribution.
