According to a new Gallup survey conducted from June 2 to 15, approximately 14% of US adults report owning crypto, but most express no interest in purchasing. Despite a slight growth in digital asset ownership since 2021, most Americans still view digital assets as a risky investment.
The survey shows crypto ownership is more common among males under 50, with 25% of males reporting ownership of Bitcoin or other digital currencies.
Additionally, college graduates (19%), high-income adults (19%), and political conservatives (18%) have higher crypto ownership rates. In contrast, only 7% of adults 65 and older report owning any form of crypto.
17% of Americans are interested in crypto but do not plan to invest in the near term; only 4% say they might purchase crypto soon. 60% state they have no plans to invest in crypto at all.
